Microsoft yesterday released a firmware update for Surface Pen Driver. It said, Surface Pen Driver (v2.0.1145.0) enables additional upcoming configuration options for Surface Pro 3. Surface Audience Marketing manager Markus Weickenmeier has revealed that Microsoft will be releasing a new Windows Store app that will allow users to change the configuration of their Surface Pen. This upcoming app will allow you to set the tip’s initial activation force, edit the pen’s pressure curve and map the cap button to either the desktop or Modern flavor of One Note. You need the latest Surface Pen Driver update installed to use this app.

SurfaceProArtist also reported that remapping the pen’s side switches won’t be part of this release, but may be coming in the future update of the new control panel app.
