Based on the source code on the Microsoft’s OneDrive website, Livesino discovered few months that Microsoft is creating a Music Locker service that will allow users to stream their own personal music collection from OneDrive. Users need to upload their music collection to OneDrive Music folder and they can enjoy their music via Xbox Music app on any of the devices. Xbox Music app is available on Windows, Windows Phone, Xbox, iOS, etc,. To get the full Xbox Music experience, move your music files into the Music folder on your OneDrive.
Meet your OneDrive Music folder. Upload your music files to this folder, so that you can play them via Xbox Music from any of your devices. You can also add files to this folder using the OneDrive app for your computer.
Today, they revealed that Microsoft will offer free 20GB of OneDrive storage to people who upload music on their OneDrive.
Easily store your music with Locker and access it wherever you go. Plus, get an extra 20 GB as soon as you upload your music.
Microsoft already offers 15GB of free storage to OneDrive users. In addition, they will gain few GBs when they enable Automatic photo upload in OneDrive mobile apps. Added to that, this new 20GB of free storage should please most of the music lovers who want to enjoy their music on the go via OneDrive music locker.
