As the smartphone trend continues across the world, more and more people are starting to use their smartphones as their primary camera as opposed to their digital cams. So the smartphone industry is gearing up to make their camera experience on par with the digital cam experience. Windows Phone camera experience is one of the best in the industry known for their easy, fast and accessible approach. Now, everyone in the industry is following the experience as even Apple made announcements during their iPhone 4S launch that their comment that "To many customers, this will be the best still camera they’ve ever owned, and the best video camera they’ve ever owned." and  introduced features such as dedicated button for camera from lock screen which was inspired from Windows Phones. Now, Windows Phone team is looking for Engineers to further push the camera experience in Windows Phones forward.

The Windows Phone division is creating a phone experience that is personal, relevant, connected and FUN! Do you care about the quality of the memories that you are capturing with your phone? The focus area of this team is our full end-to-end photo and camera experience from the hardware through software level. Your job is to ensure that experience is reliable, compelling both for customers and developers, performs well, and is super high-quality. In this position you will play a critical role in helping us take our current test arsenal and architect a solution that will let us run that arsenal across test environments, across locales, across identities, and across service boundaries.Å¡ We intend to dominate that market with the best capture and sharing experiences that delight the casual user to the digital enthusiast.

We need great people to bring our big vision to reality. Be a part of a team working on new experiences for the phone! You will be responsible for driving the quality of your feature areas. You will work closely with your partners in PM and development, and will be engaged throughout all phases of the product cycle. Responsibilities include architecture and design, test automation development in both C++ and C#, participation in design/code reviews, creation of test tools, and helping to innovate the way we verify quality in our products. You will have plenty of opportunities to contribute to groundbreaking products and grow your skills.Å¡
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
– 5 years of experience developing and testing software
– Strong coding skills in C# or C/C++Å¡
– Strong problem solving, testing and debugging skills
– Good communication and cross-group collaboration skills
– Ability to work both independently and collectively in a fun team environment
– High capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies and engineering processes quicklyÅ¡
The following will be considered a plus:
– Knowledge of Mobile devices, development tools
– Passion for the camera or graphic space
