Microsoft To Get Aggressive With Windows Phone Marketing

Marketing is the one word everyone of us put in the front when we talk on Windows Phone sales. Even though Windows Phone software and hardware is comparable to other smartphone ecosystems such as iOS or Android, their sales or not. Many of us blamed Microsoft and its OEM partners for not promoting Windows Phone platform. With Windows Phone 7.5 release, the situation around marketing for Windows Phone is going to change.

In an interview to Bloomberg, Andy Lees from Microsoft said that Microsoft is getting aggressive in marketing Windows Phone. Microsoft’s OEM partners are likely to increase their marketing budgets on Windows Phones. Another important thing he spoke about is that they are focusing on retail staff. Training them on new Windows Phone to promote it and to step up retailer incentives and boost in-store promotions. He ended up the interview by saying,

” The stars are really starting to align for us,”
