Back in 2012, Microsoft acquired PPI, a leader in research, development and production of large-scale, multi-touch display solutions. Microsoft made PPI team work inside Office division. The PPI Touch Devices that are currently on sale deliver exceptional, multi-purpose productivity solutions for brainstorming, collaboration, and interactive presentations. They have two models,

  • 82″ Touch Device

The 82” Touch Device is perfect for team working sessions, whether in-person or remote, as well as stunning interactive presentations to larger groups. This device also meets the needs of companies looking to make the ultimate impact for public installation in lobbies and visitor centers.

Because of its large size, the device is ideal for teams, customers and partners to collaborate, brainstorm, and visualize data in a completely new, hands-on way.

  • 55″ Touch Device

The 55” Touch Device allows for productive small-group or individual brainstorming. It can be used in smaller spaces, including offices, huddle areas, conference rooms and lounges. When coupled with a roll stand the device can be easily shared among groups, enabling more people to benefit from the experience and maximizing return on investment.

According to Stephen Elop, Microsoft is soon going to mass produce PPI displays. If it happens, there is great chance that the price will come down drastically. Currently, 55-inch model costs around $7500.
