Microsoft Store web

Microsoft Store app on Windows was revamped last year and it is currently in much better shape than ever before. Recently, Microsoft has quietly introduced the new Microsoft Store web experience, you can check it out at http://apps.microsoft.com.

The new Microsoft Store web is built using several popular web components. Judah Gabriel from Microsoft Store web development team highlighted that the following components were used:

  • Lit
  • Vite JS
  • Shoelace
  • PWA builder’s template
  • App Tools router

On the backend, Microsoft is using ASP.NET server with C# code.

The old Microsoft Store web experience was using a React codebase built on an obsoleted UI framework.

“We a fresh user experience with a thoughtfully designed interface, easier ways to discover new apps, modern web tech stack,” said Judah Gabriel.
