If you purchased a Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ or Note 8 from the Microsoft Store, you can expect to start seeing the Android Oreo upgrade on your handset in the very near future.

XDA-Developers report that the unlocked versions of the handset (such as those being sold by the Microsoft Store) will be receiving the OS update in the USA in the next 2-3 weeks.

Android Orea is not a gigantic OS upgrade but offers better power management by controlling background apps more, and various OS refinements such as adaptive icons, better sound, an improved camera interface, better keyboard navigation and better control over notifications.

Samsung will also be delivering their own improvements in the update.
