Some concept designs for Windows Phone leaked some weeks ago but have since been pulled from Vimeo. Today however Microsoft published a page touting their commitment to design, which includes a video, showing the evolution of the Windows Phone Metro design.
As can be seen from the screen shot above, at one point things were rather garish, but became increasingly minimalist and more reliant on typography and clear symbols.
