imageBloomberg reports that Microsoft is in talks with Foursquare to purchase a stake in the company.

While talks are in an advanced stage, the Bloomberg’s sources report it is not a done deal yet.

Neither Microsoft or FourSquare commented on the rumour.

FourSquare could bring some of the same social-based location data to Bing Maps as Waze has brought to Google, which may be the secret motivator behind the deal.
