Microsoft Research has released Climatology app for Android mobile devices. This mobile application gives the user climate information for anywhere on Earth: temperature, rain, sunniness and frost. Climatology now makes this information easily available to everyone. This app is based on MSR’s FetchClimate project which provides ready access to complex geographical information including, but not limited to, climatological information.

Climatology gives you climate information for anywhere on Earth: temperature, rain and sunniness. Whether finding where are the warm, dry places to go on holiday in December, or avoiding rain for your wedding, to finding out what the climate is like in Kazakhstan in April, Climatology allows you to discover the information you want. Climatology is powered by Microsoft Research’s technology, developed by Microsoft’s environmental scientists for climate-related scientific research. Climatology now makes this information easily available to everyone.
