Microsoft today announced that they are renaming Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 10 Enterprise E3. Microsoft is making this change as part of their plan to standardize packaging offers across Office 365, Windows 10 Enterprise and the Enterprise Mobility + Security suite. Going forward, we will see E3 and E5 offerings from Office 365, Windows 10 Enterprise and the Enterprise Mobility + Security suite. As you know, Microsoft already has E3 and E5 offering from Office 365. Microsoft today announced that they will be releasing Windows 10 Enterprise E5 later this summer that includes Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection. Similarly, Enterprise Mobility + Security suite E5 plan will also be available later this year.

Microsoft today also announced that they are renaming the Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS) to Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) to more accurately communicate its value. Read about it here.
