Microsoft today released a new firmware update for Surface Pro 3 devices. This update is applicable for Surface Pro Embedded Controller Firmware and Surface Pro UEFI. Microsoft claims that this update improves battery life during sleep and PXE performance on IPv6.

  • 38.13.50.0 improves battery life during sleep.
  • 3.11.2150.0 improves PXE performance on IPv6.

You can update it through Windows Update or you can also manually update the firmware by downloading it from the Surface Pro 3 Drivers and Firmware Page.
