Microsoft has pushed an update to Skype Insiders, adding a bunch of new features, design changes, improvements, and fixes. The latest Skype Insider build 8.107 has plenty of goodies for mobile users.
First off, Microsoft has redesigned the message replies UI to elevate chat clarity. For example, you’ll see shadow and depth effects that ensure that replies “stand out gracefully”. The UI will also work for people with visual impairment and those using a screen reader. The latest Skype build also comes with revamped audio messages UI, with a new audio wave indicator, visualizing the length of your audio, being able to adjust playback speeds, and more.
After installing the latest Skype Insider build, you’ll also be able to preview your selected media directly in the Skype mobile composer, similar to desktops. So, before hitting send, you can preview photos and videos in the composer so that you can change your mind if you’re not happy with those. You can also remove media from the composer with a single tap. Also, Skype will notify you when you cross the 10-media selection limit.
Moreover, the latest Skype Insider update includes stability improvements, bug fixes, and dark mode refinements. However, it’s important to note that these features are rolling out in a phased manner, meaning they will be available to all Skype Insiders over the next couple of days. Also, keep in mind that all these capabilities will also be available to non-Insiders in the coming weeks.
