Microsoft is rolling out cumulative update KB4023057 again, to prepare more Windows 10 installations to upgrade to 1903.

Cumulative update KB4023057 will apply various changes to prepare the device for future updates, including cleaning up registry keys that block Windows Updates.  It can repair corrupted services, reset the Windows Update database or compress files in the user profile directory.

KB4023057  is being pushed out to PCs with versions 1507, 1511, 1607, 1703, 1709, 1803, and 1809.  This is the second time Windows has pushed out this update, the last being late last year.  Like last year, it will not be sent to all PCs- but only the computers Microsoft feels will benefit from the extra assistance in securing the update to Windows 10 May 2019.
