Microsoft today reported its Q1 FY19 earnings results with strong revenue and operating income, thanks to the continued growth of Microsoft Cloud. Microsoft mentioned in their earnings report that the Surface revenue grew 14% YoY (14% in constant currency). The revenue was $1.180 billion, and this is the fifth consecutive quarter for Microsoft to hit billion dollar revenue with Surface hardware sales. Despite the Surface Go launch in August and the Back to School season, the Surface products business growth was not up to the level which everyone expected.
