Microsoft Photos app has received an update. It brings an important new feature alongside bug fixes and various other improvements. The update also takes the app to Version 2019.19081.22010.0.
The change that you’d notice after updating to the latest version is the nice little OneDrive icon in the Microsoft Photos app. Clicking on the icon will display several pieces of information such as space occupied and space available on OneDrive. You’ll also be able to see photos from a particular folder as well as all folders on OneDrive.
- OneDrive Icon – The Photo application now shows an icon dedicated to OneDrive on the title bar.
- By clicking on it you can view the space occupied and the space available on your OneDrive plan.
- You can also choose whether to view photos from just the Pictures folder or from all folders.
- Bug fixes and various improvements.
Microsoft recently added a Bing search icon to the Microsoft Photos app. Once you click on the icon, it starts searching the web and display images that look similar to the one you’re currently viewing in the Photos app.
Both the Bing icon and the OneDrive icon are a welcome addition to the Microsoft Photos app. However, both are available only to Windows Insiders, so if you’re on Windows 10 1903 or any other older version of Windows 10, you won’t receive these two icons at this moment. You’ll have to wait a few more days to test them on your Windows 10 PC.
You can update the Microsoft Photos app from this link, or you can visit Microsoft Store and check for updates.
