Unlike other Surface devices, Surface Laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 10 S OS, a specific configuration of Windows 10 Pro that’s streamlined for security and performance. It can only run apps in the Windows Store. However, Microsoft at that time said that customers can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for free for a limited time. They later expanded the offer till March 31st of this year.
Microsoft Store in the US has now started selling Commercial Surface Laptop with the choice of getting Windows 10 Pro pre-installed during the purchase. In the ‘Configure your Surface Laptop’ page, customers can now select between Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 S along with their choice of color.
