If you were looking for IT certifications to help propel your career and boost your resume, Microsoft used to have you covered with free beta exam certifications. That’s right, all you would have to do is register for a seat using a beta exam discount code, show up, take the test, and receive your certification (provided you passed of course). Well while Redmond does still offer these courses, they will no longer be 100% free, and rather be 80% off with the provided discount code. The reason for this, a historically high no show rate, according to a Microsoft blog. These no shows mean a delay in scoring the exams, as the company needs several hundred exams before they start scoring, and of course everybody who attempts to register does not get a seat, meaning someone who really wanted or needed the cert could have used that seat of the no show.

Starting with next beta, Exam 537: Configuring and Operating a Hybrid Cloud with Microsoft Azure Stack, discount codes will provide an 80% decrease in price, thus ensuring those who do register will actually show up for the exam, or risk losing their money. But as an incentive for those who do show up, the 20% that you paid when registering for the beta exam will be applied to the next exam that you take within one year, pass or fail. Then on top of that, you’ll receive a 25% discount on a future exam.

Get 80% off the 537 beta exam. If you take the beta exam, VUE will automatically apply a 25% discount to your next MCP exam registration.
