Update: The new Type Cover and the Pride Skins are now available on the Microsoft Store. Both the Type Cover and the Pride Skin are currently available for Pre-order and are compatible with Surface Pro 4, 5, and 6 models. The Pride Type Cover will cost $159.99 and the Pride Skin will cost $14.99.

Original Story: This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots that sparked the gay liberation movement and allowed the LGBTQ community to get equal rights. The movement has been dubbed as the Pride movement and has gained traction in recent years.

To celebrate this, Microsoft is also joining with their own Surface Pride skins and Type covers for the Surface users.  While the company is yet to announce the initiative, a video shared by Microsoft Insider, Walking Cat shows what we can expect to see soon. The video talks about the importance of the Pride movement and Microsoft’s decision to support the community.

Microsoft has also set up a dedicated website to talk about the Pride movement and how the company is working with the prominent figures to make sure everyone gets equal rights. We don’t have any word from Microsoft about the availability of new skins and Type Covers but we should expect to hear soon.
