Microsoft hires GE veteran Kate Johnson as president and CVP of Microsoft US

Microsoft yesterday announced that they have hired Kate Johnson, a business and technology industry veteran of more than 20 years. Kate Johnson is currently acting as the chief commercial officer for GE Digital. Prior to this role, she held various leadership roles including  CEO of GE’s Intelligent Platforms Software Group and VP, Chief Commercial Officer, GE Enterprise Solutions.

Microsoft believes that Johnson brings a wealth of experience in leading business and cultural transformation, having also held senior commercial roles at Oracle, Red Hat and Deloitte Consulting. Kate Johnson will join Microsoft as president and corporate vice president (CVP) of Microsoft US on Sept. 8, 2017.
