Microsoft highlights new partner solutions for Skype for Business

At the annual Enterprise Connect conference today, Microsoft announced several new improvements and features for Skype for Business in Office 365. In addition, they also highlighted some of the partner solutions for Skype for Business in Office 365. Read about them below.

Polycom RealConnect:

Polycom RealConnect allows organizations to seamlessly connects their existing video solutions with Skype for Business in Office 365. End users will enjoy simple meeting workflow and natural Skype online meeting experiences. IT admins will enjoy protecting video investments and the simplicity of license management and provisioning from within the Office 365 portal.

“Polycom RealConnect for Office 365 simplifies the video world by connecting Skype for Business online users with those using other video systems,” said Mary McDowell, Polycom CEO. “This cloud service protects customers’ investments in existing video systems as it allows these users to join a Skype for Business meeting with a single click.”

Crestron Next Generation Skype Room System:

Crestron is announcing their next generation Skype Room System that delivers a powerful, professional solution for knowledge workers who want the Skype for Business experience in small to midsize meeting rooms and conference rooms. It seamlessly integrates the Surface Pro 4 touch screen with Crestron control and AV systems. Remote participants have quick and easy join-meeting functionality and the ability to make phone calls. It features:

  • Two (2) HDMI and Crestron DigitalMedia inputs and outputs
  • Six (6) USB ports to connect audio devices, a camera, and other accessories
  • Cresnet port to add an occupancy sensor for automation and room usage reporting

TouchPoint Attendant for Microsoft Skype for Business Online:

Enghouse Interactive announced its TouchPoint Attendant for Microsoft Skype for Business Online. It is an operator console solution that natively integrates into Microsoft’s Skype for Business. This is one of the first consoles to market with support for Skype for Business Online and Office 365.

Receptionists are the front line of any business and first impressions are critical. TouchPoint Attendant allows receptionists to be more productive and engaged with a gamification-style visual interface. Incoming calls appear animated as they travel dynamically and change color based on the caller’s wait time. TouchPoint Attendant empowers receptionists by leveraging the collaboration features of Office 365, including directories, email, IM, and presence.

They are offering a free 30-day trial (Regular subscription pricing is as low as $54/month).
