Microsoft recently announced that it’s widely popular Minecraft game would be hitting Wii U consoles soon. Shortly after this someone took to twitter to ask if Microsoft would bring Rare Replay to the handheld console as well. Microsoft responded:
This tweet led some to believe that their was hope that the game may eventually come to Wii U, with people beggining to blow up both Microsoft and the developer with questions, but through all of the commotion, Microsoft has since responded vaguely to that tweet, stating:
We appreciate all your suggestions! However, we have no information of any games coming to the WiiU other than Minecraft at this time.

This in turn left at least some belief that maybe the game could come to the platform, though maybe at a future date, until the game developer Rare officially responded to the tweets, killing the idea for good:
Lots of Qs about Wii U! But #RareReplay’s exclusive to Xbox One, and we’re hard at work on Sea of Thieves. Appreciate the enthusiasm though!
