Microsoft Flight Simulator update is finally here, and we couldn’t get any more excited.

Billed as City Update II: France, the new entry offers virtual pilots the opportunity to explore five stunning cities in France: Amiens, Angers, Nantes, Nîmes, and Reims. This free update also includes the renowned Paris–Le Bourget Airport (LFPB) in both standard and festival configurations, just in time for the Paris Air Show.

Amiens boasts the grand Amiens Cathedral, while Angers is known for its impressive cathedral and black-and-white-walled castle. Nantes offers a wealth of architectural wonders along the Loire River, including the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany. In Nîmes, players can marvel at well-preserved Roman-era structures such as the Arena of Nîmes. Reims, located near Paris, showcases exquisite examples of French Gothic architecture, with Reims Cathedral standing as a highlight.

In addition to the City Update II, Microsoft Flight Simulator is introducing the Local Legend 09: Latécoère 631 aircraft. This six-engine flying boat, manufactured by France’s Latécoère Corporation, is a significant symbol of French aviation history. The Latécoère Model 631, which first took flight in 1942, was the largest flying boat of its time, remaining in operation until the mid-1950s. Flight enthusiasts can now experience this majestic aircraft, complete with 16 liveries, for $14.99.
