Back in September Microsoft announced that they will be discontinuing some of the apps by Nokia. One of them was Lumia Beamer. While Microsoft said to remove the service on October 30th, the app was still available and it looks like the app got one last update which says “Lumia Beamer says Goodbye”.

The latest update suggests users to uninstall the app in order to create space in the phone. For those who don’t remember, Lumia Beamer was previously known as Photobeamer and it was made by Nokia. The app allowed you to beam your screen on secondary display by scanning a QR Code on the Lumia Beamer website.

It might be late to ask but what do you think about this step by Microsoft. Were you still using the app? Let us know in the comments section.
