Google’s Home Alone Google Assistant ad featuring Macaulay Culkin has gone somewhat viral. The ad recreates the Home Alone movies, but this time with Google’s Assistant keeping the hero company.

The success of the ad prompted Katie Anderson, Business Strategy Manager at Microsoft, to recreate the ad using Cortana, and given Microsoft’s productivity focus, appropriately features our Katie at work alone, enjoying the freedom of the office, which she says has a much better desk than at home.

While grabbing all the corporate ice cream seems fun, it looks like Culkin may still be having a better time in Google’s original ad below.
