Microsoft Display Dock for the Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 gets updated

Microsoft today released a new update for the Display Dock. For those unfamiliar with the Display Dock, it allows you to use Continuum on the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. The latest update for the Display Dock doesn’t bring any new feature, however. According to the changelog, the latest update will make the device “better to use”, which suggests Microsoft added some bug fixes and probably improved some stuff behind the scenes.

If you own a Display Dock, you will need to power it on, connect it to your Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL, open up the Gadgets app, and check for updates to install the latest update. Once Gadgets finds the latest update, you will be able to update it via the Gadgets app — after the update is done, the Gadgets app will ask you to restart the device. For those wondering, the latest update for the Display Dock (aka HD 500) is version 4.0.0.0.
