According to the latest report from Synergy Research Group, Microsoft continues to lead the enterprise SaaS market a worldwide market share of 17%. In fact, Microsoft extended its lead position with a 34% growth over previous quarter. Microsoft’s growth rate is declining because of the massive scale it has already achieved. Salesforce, Adobe, SAP and Oracle were the next four vendors in the list.

In Q1, the enterprise SaaS market generated well over $23 billion of revenue and will hit a $100 billion annual run rate in the current quarter. While the growth rate of SaaS is not high as IaaS and PaaS, it will continue to be an important market in the enterprise space. With Office 365, Dynamics 365, and endpoint security+management solutions, Microsoft’s SaaS market share will continue to grow in the coming quarters.
