In Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft came up with new Start Background feature, which allows people to set their Start screen to have a background image displayed behind the tiles. And the tiles with Windows Phone accent color were made transparent to make the background image visible. In the Windows 10 Technical Preview released for phones last night, Microsoft has made some changes in Start Screen customization. Now, you can choose a background for your Start Screen and the Live Tiles will be made translucent to make the background visible to the user.
Some people will like the behavior in Windows Phone 8.1 while others will like the new one in Windows 10 preview. The good news is that Microsoft is planning to include both the “full background” and “in the tiles” options in the future Windows 10 preview builds.
@OpenPlumbob yes… Were planning to include both the “full background” and “in the tiles” options.
