I had assumed Microsoft Launcher would be the conduit for Microsoft’s Your Phone feature, but it appears the rather more mundane Microsoft Apps app for Android may be playing an important role.

The app, which serves as a one-stop shop for Microsoft’s apps and services on Android, has been updated to version 3.1.0 with what appears to be support for Your Phone photo synching. The changelog reads:

Sync photos from phone to PC (Windows Insiders only)

Microsoft’s Your Phone will let users access SMS messages and media from their phone wirelessly, and the feature is expected to become available to Insiders over the next day or two. Read more about the app here.
