Microsoft today announced Secured-core PCs, the most secure Windows 10 devices out-of-the-box with integrated hardware, firmware, software, and identity protection. Windows OEMs have to meet the strict security requirements listed out by Microsoft to get this certification. These new Secured-core PCs are targeted towards people who work in the most data-sensitive industries such as government, financial services, and healthcare.

Highlights of Secured-core PCs:

  • Secured-core PCs use hardware rooted security in the modern CPU to launch the system into a trusted state, preventing advanced malware from tampering with the?system and attacking at the firmware level.
  • Once the CPU is brought up safely, the operating system takes control. Hypervisor enforced code integrity ensures that all code in the operating system kernel is trustworthy.
  • Users then sign in securely with Windows Hello.2 Credential Guard ensures that identity and domain credentials are isolated and protected in a secure VBS environment.

Secured-core PC will be available from various Windows OEMs including Dell, Dynabook, HP, Lenovo, Panasonic and Surface. You can learn more about Secured-core PCs from the source link below.
