Microsoft is having a hard time managing Windows updates which has resulted in various issues in the recent cumulative updates. Recently we reported that the company still hasn’t acknowledged the Start Menu bug in Windows 10 KB4517389 cumulative update.

Today, however, a Microsoft Engineer acknowledged the bug and confirmed that fix will be released in late October. To our surprise, the KB4517389 support page is yet to be updated and currently shows ‘no known issues’. We expect Microsoft to update the support page soon but it also confirms that Microsoft hasn’t received reports of any other issues with Windows 10 KB4517389.

We are aware of this issue and estimate a resolution to be released in late October.
