Along with Xbox Live, Microsoft’s own Account service seems to be down for users all around the world. The outage is affecting multiple Microsoft services, including Outlook, Bing, OneDrive, Skype, as well as Xbox Live. The downtime is also causing some issues for Windows Store, which is preventing users from downloading new content. Microsoft Account recently faced similar issues recently, too.

Update #4: Everything should be back to normal now, after a more than 2-hour outage. Microsoft stated “We’ve completed deployment of the fix and confirmed that service is restored,” confirming the fix.

Update #3: Microsoft has just confirmed that the company is rolling out a fix to restore service and users should be able to login shortly, “We’re deploying a fix to restore service. Users should begin to experience service restoration as the fix is rolled out.”

Update #2: As of 19:00 GMT, Microsoft Account seems to be back online now — at least for some users. We were able to access Outlook.com, OneDrive and several other services Microsoft that went down due to the outage. Microsoft is yet to confirm the update on its official service status websites, so you may not be able to access your MSA just yet.

Update #1: Microsoft just acknowledged the issue for Outlook.com and OneDrive, stating that the “Users may be intermittently unable to sign in to the service. As the issue is intermittent in nature, users may be able to reload the page or make another attempt successfully. We’re analyzing system logs to determine the next troubleshooting steps.”

As for the OneDrive outage, Microsoft says “In some cases, after signing into the service, users are then unable to access their OneDrive content. As the issue is intermittent in nature, users may be able to reload the page or make another attempt successfully.”

We will update this article once more info is available regarding the downtime.
