Microsoft has a notorious reputation for confusing the names of its products. And that happens again as the Redmond tech giant “re-launched” its free Copilot for business as Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. What?

Note to be confused with the Copilot Business Chat, the MS365 Copilot Chat comes with a pay-as-you-go plan for business customers that want Microsoft 365’s AI.

“Copilot Chat enables your entire workforceโ€”from customer service representatives to marketing leads to frontline techniciansโ€”to start using Copilot and agents today,” Microsoft says in the blog post.

The pricing structure is a lot more flexible than the fixed $30/month Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription, and it comes with capabilities like workflow automation, image generation with DALL-E, and task management through AI agents.

So, with that, you can use the ChatGPT-like chat tool, and the service complements Microsoft 365 Copilot so it integrates well with apps like Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

“While Copilot Chat is a powerful new on-ramp for everyone in your organization to build the AI habit, Microsoft 365 Copilot remains our best-in-class personal AI assistant for work,” the Redmond tech giant adds.

Microsoft is betting big on AI for business, and that says a lot. And now, the company is also turning the Microsoft 365 app on iOS into the Microsoft 365 Copilot app. There’s also a new logo with the Copilot sign and an “M365” banner beneath.
