Correction: It appears we missed a tweet from Mike Ybarra who stated that he was simply testing PC to Twitter manually to see how Twitter recodes video. While sharing gameclips directly from Xbox to Twitter is a highly requested feature, it isn’t coming just yet. Still, considering how Microsoft is constantly working to bring popular features to the system with frequent updates, it may not be far off.

Original: You may soon be able to upload Xbox One game clips to Twitter. You can already export your clips to OneDrive and take it from there, but according to a tweet from Mike Ybarra, Corporate Vice President – Xbox and Windows Gaming, Microsoft is testing direct upload to Twitter at present.

Previously when sharing to twitter the Xbox app would only share a link to the video, rather than uploading it to Twitter.

Presumably, Microsoft is hoping more sharing options to social networks will mean more viral promotion and sales of the Xbox One, meaning we can expect more networks such as Facebook to follow also.

It is not known when the feature will launch, but hopefully not too far in the future.
