In Europe we are used to paying quite a bit for our phones, so seeing the Samsung Omnia 7 for only 306 Euro including all taxes and without a carrier contract is quite a shock.  It appears to be across OEMs, with the HTC HD7 only 316 Euro on Amazon Germany.

The price drop is not just confined to Amazon however, with Mobilfunk is offering even deeper cuts on what is really the best regarded Windows Phone. Even Expansys has dropped the Omnia 7 by £125.

The reason for the cuts are not clear, but many who have paid up to 500 Euro for the Samsung Omnia 7 a few months ago will find the handset up to 200 Euro cheaper today.

Thanks Florian for the tip.
