Next week will mark the beginning of IFA 2019 in Berlin where companies will be showcasing their newest smartphones for 2019. We do expect to see quite a lot of smartphones from different OEMs including LG. The South-Korean giant is expected to showcase a couple of devices including a new gaming-focused smartphone.

Just a couple of days back, LG filed a trademark with EUIPO for “LG Game Pad”. The application was filed by a patent and law firm Mitscherlich from Munich, Germany. The trademark was classified as Class 9 which includes smartphones. On the same day, LG also filed a trademark with KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office) for “LG Game Pad”.

LG will be holding a press conference on September 6, 2019, at IFA 2019 in Berlin. We expect to see a couple of devices from LG including a foldable and a gaming phone.
