  • The Sticky Notes app getting a revamped UI, possibly integrating with OneNote.
  • The new design features a purple logo & interface, a dedicated “Recent Notes” section & search bar.
  • The pop-out window for focused note-taking & richer formatting options like bolding & lists.

Sticky Notes, the digital equivalent of those colorful squares we all know and love, might be significantly refreshed. Microsoft has teased an upcoming update that promises a revamped user interface, potential integration with its OneNote note-taking app, and improved organization features. The exact release date remains under wraps. This comes after the official X account of Sticky Notes posted that something new is coming.

The most apparent change is adopting a new purple logo and interface, mirroring OneNote’s branding. This suggests a closer connection between the two apps, although Microsoft hasn’t explicitly confirmed whether Sticky Notes will become a sub-app within OneNote. Nevertheless, accessibility through OneNote seems likely.

And gone are the days of frantically searching through a sea of virtual notes. The revamped app introduces a dedicated “Recent Notes” section, neatly grouping your creations for easy access. Moreover, including a search bar ensures you can quickly find any specific notes you need, saving you valuable time.

For those who like to add flair to their notes, the update brings a set of text formatting tools, including the ability to create bulleted and numbered lists and bold, italicizing, striking through, and underlining text.

With the official release date yet to be announced, Microsoft is keeping us eagerly anticipating. However, based on the available information, the revamped Sticky Notes app appears promising, offering improved design, organization, and functionality. Whether you’re a longtime Sticky Notes user or new to the app, it’s an update worth watching.
