Google is just days away from launching the new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. While we know how the device might look like, the new marketing images show the salient features of the upcoming devices.

According to a new leak, both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will come with Android Pie out of the box. Moreover, both the new devices will have all the features which came with Pixel 2 like Active Edge, Tap to Wake, swipe down on the fingerprint scanner to open notification shade, etc. Apart from these features, Google is also adding some new features to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. You can head below to take a look at the new features coming to the device.

  • Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be able to understand the name of a restaurant mentioned in an email. Long pressing on this restaurant name gives the user an option to book a reservation.

  • The camera will be able to scan someone’s email address from their business card. Tapping on the detected email address directly send you to the compose email section of the Gmail app.

  • Other camera features include swiping left or right on the viewfinder to let the user cycle through the different camera/video modes.

Google is rumoured to launch the new devices on October 9th at their annual event. The pricing and the specs are still not confirmed but we can expect top of the line specs with pricing going up to $1,000 for the top model.
