Tesla is not quite yet ready to release full self-driving onto public roads, but private roads such as car parks are fair game, and there Tesla has been working to demonstrate their driverless technology via their Smart Summons feature.

Currently only available to Early Access Tesla owners, the feature is currently in version 4, with each version being somewhat more credible.

Recently YouTube channel Like Tesla was able to get a rare hands-on with the feature in a California car park, and it is really starting to look like something which may become useful in the future.

The video shows the car to be notably more confident, smoother and faster, though this still translates to a top speed of only 4 mph.
