Joe Belfiore takes on some Internet Explorer developer duties also

060b2fdJoe Belfiore is one of the best known faces of Windows Phone, and currently holds the position of Vice President, Windows Phone Program Management & Design at Microsoft.

It seems however he’s set to expand his duties, with the Verge reporting that he is taking over some of Dean Hachamovitch’s IE development duties , specifically those related to the app side of Internet Explorer and the user experience.

A separate team will be working on developing the IE rendering engine.

Hopefully Joe will gain an appreciation for a somewhat more flexible browser – while IE10 on Windows Phone is pretty fast and renders well, I think the app could benefit from simple features such a password manager.

Do our readers worry about Joe losing focus, or will the cross-over be good for Windows phone? Let us know below.
