HTC One for Windows confirmed to be GSM SIM unlocked

It has been confirmed that Verizon’s HTC for Windows is GSM SIM-unlocked, and will accept SIM cards from carriers like T-Mobile USA.

Unfortunately the device is still designed for a CDMA carrier, and does not include the ability to set up MMS messages for example.

Nevertheless the other data features work well, but the smartphone only officially supports LTE on Verizon’s Band 4 and 13, though we note the handset has been certified for bands 3 and 7 also widely used in Europe.
