Pocket-lint managed to place the HTC HD7 next to the new HTC HD7s which has the new Super LCD screen which is support to have viewing angles and contrast comparable to an AMOLED scree, and report that the screen was noticeably better on the HD7S.
Of course the picture above is a pretty poor way to compare the two screens, with one device sporting the black theme and the other the white, so we will just to hang on for the device to become fully available before we give it a good going over. Engadget has also been lucky enough to have a hands-on, and agrees with the viewing angle and contrast improvements, and have published some pictures here.
