A mere 6 weeks after the release of the HTC Touch Diamond into the wide world, the device has already shipped 1 million phones. Due to the brisk sales of the smartphone, even faster than the original HTC Touch which took 5 months to hit one million, HTC has raised its forecast for sales target from 2 to 3 million for calender 2008.
The device is now out in more than 30 countries on 50 cariers, and HTC expects to ship another 4 to 5 Touch-themed handhelds this year, including the much anticipated HTC Touch Pro and a Touch Dual variant.
