HTC Announces New UltraPixel Camera With OIS And HDR Video, not coming to Windows Phone

HTC today announced its next generation flagship device HTC One. Among the high-end specs, HTC has announced a new camera technology called UltraPixel with this HTC One device. HTC UltraPixel camera will capture 300% more light than traditional cameras and with just 4MP image size, HTC is trying to play the image quality game.
It will feature the following,

- F2.0 aperture and 28 mm lens
- Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
- Smart Flash: Five levels of flash automatically set by distance to subject
- Front Camera: 2.1 MP, 880 wide angle lens with HDR capability
- 1080p Full HD video recording for both front and back cameras
- HDR Video
- Continuous shooting and VideoPic
- Slow motion video recording with variable speed playback
- HTC Zoeâ„¢ with HTC Zoeâ„¢ Highlights and HTC Zoeâ„¢ Share
- Retouch with Object Removal, Group Retouch, and Sequence Shot
HTC has told Pocket-lint HTC’s Zoe camera features will not be coming to Windows Phone.
“We are equally committed to the Windows platform, so we will do what we can,” said Symon Whitehorn, HTC’s camera expert. “We don’t want to cut off consumers,” he continued, before saying there were no current plans to move the feature over.
The problem, according to Whitehorn, is down to the Windows Phone camera kernel, which restricts what can be done.
While the next generation HTC Windows Phone device will have all these camera features, we are eager to know how the current smartphone camera leader Nokia Lumia 920 stack up against this HTC One. Nokia is also expected to reveal camera focused Lumia Windows Phone 8 device at MWC.
