HP seems a bigger proponent of Microsoft’s 3-in-1 concept than the company itself, and has been working diligently to promote the platform, including showing off a new Elite X3 handset at Mobile World Congress.

DrWindows reports that alongside this device HP was also showing off a new Lap Dock which unfortunately did not attract similar attention.

The second generation of that device addresses a few issues with the current device. The new Lap Dock is said to have a larger 13-14 inch screen, and to include a regular USB 3 port, rather than only USB-C ports like the current device, which has caused compatibility issues for some users.

The device is also said to be cheaper, but in turn lacks a touch screen, which may be an acceptable compromise.

No further information or any pictures of the device exists, but we assume we will be seeing a release later this year.
