OnePlus Buds received a lot of praise not only because they offer great sound quality but also due to the fact that, much like the company’s other products, its earbuds are reasonably priced. However, one major downside of having OnePlus’ earbuds was that you couldn’t apply updates to OnePlus Buds using a non-OnePlus smartphone. This put OnePlus’ earbuds at a huge disadvantage as non-OnePlus smarpthone users will probably avoid them. The good news is that this will no longer be the case OnePlus has finally released a new app called HeyMelody, thorough which you can update your OnePlus Buds.
Apart from OnePlus smartphones, you can also install the new app on a non-OnePlus smartphone. The app will work with all the BBK-owned smartphone brands, meaning the app should work with smartphones from brands like Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and iQOO. In other words, if you own a smartphone from any of these companies, you can finally buy the OnePlus Buds.
The HeyMelody app can also help you update the recently-released OnePlus Buds Z from a non-OnePlus smartphone. The fact that OnePlus Buds and Buds Z can be updated from a non-OnePlus smartphone makes these earbuds more accessible, so more users will want to buy OnePlus’ earbuds.
The way the app works is pretty simple and doesn’t require you to be a tech expert. On opening the app, you’ll be given the status of the earbuds, and if an update is available, it’ll ask you to download and install the update. You can download the HeyMelody app from Google Play Store, or you can click on the below link to download the app.
