With the debut of Windows 10, Microsoft brought its Action Centre and quick toggles from Windows Phone over to its mainstream desktop platform.
With the quick toggles, users could control settings like Wifi and Bluetooth easily without having to launch the main Settings app itself. Unfortunately, this philosophy didn’t extend itself to the Action Centre itself. To edit the quick toggles in Windows 10 originally, users had to open the Settings app to update whatever quick actions toggle where shown. With 19H1, that’s been changed. Along with a new brightness slider, Microsoft has made it easier to customise the quick toggles in the Action Centre.
How to edit quick toggles in Windows 10 19H1
- Open the Action Centre by clicking on its icon.
- Right-click on any of the quick toggles to invoke the new settings option.
- Select ‘Edit Quick Actions’. You’ll now be able to drag, unpin and customise the settings just like you would on tiles like the Start Menu.
