Developers without $3500 to spare can now download the HoloLens 2 emulator and see what their UWP apps look like on Microsoft’s latest Mixed Reality headset.

The emulator integrates with Visual Studio and requires Hyper-V to work.

The app now more closely replicates the Windows Mixed Reality experience and can be used with a keyboard, mouse or Xbox Controller. These can be used to replicate the hand controls of the actual device.

Joost van Schaik has posted a video showing the UI in action.
