Growing hatred for notch-design has led smartphone manufacturers to invent alternative solutions that can provide users an all-screen experience without any sort of compromise. One of the clever solutions to the notch is a pop-up selfie camera, which was first seen on the Vivo Nex smartphone, released last year. Huawei, Oppo, and many other prominent brands also joined Vivo by launching smartphones with the pop-up selfie camera.

It’s now being reported that HMD to join the bandwagon by launching its first Nokia branded smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera. The first Nokia smartphone to have the clever selfie camera is Nokia 8.2, which will apparently be a successor to the Nokia 8.1.

But, it’s not just about the camera. The smartphone has plenty of other things that are equally interesting. For example, the pop-up selfie camera to have a 32MP sensor, a huge jump from 20MP that you’ll find on the Nokia 8.1. It will have 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage, and will run Android Q out of the box. The smartphone is expected to be powered by either a Snapdragon 700 series SoC or the Snapdragon 735.

We haven’t heard anything about the release date but rumor has it that we HMD will unveil the Nokia 8.2 sometime in the Q3 of 2019.
