As a happy Lenovo Yoga 910 user, I am still waiting for Lenovo to introduce a successor that will convince me to upgrade. It appears Lenovo is set to try at IFA 2018 at the end of the month, with Winfuture.de leaking the high-end Lenovo Yoga C930 which is to be presented there.

The device will come with a 13.9-inch IPS touch screen display with 4K (3840×2160) resolution and 300 candela brigthness (about the same as the 920 and 910)  and the Yoga’s iconic watchband hinge.  The device will also support Lenovo’s Active Pen.

The PC will be powered by the Intel Core i5-8250U or the Intel Core i7-8550U. The i5 operate at a base clock rate of 1.6 gigahertz and TurboBoost reaches a maximum of 3.4 GHz, while the i7 with its four cores also has a basic clock of 1.8 GHz and can accelerate up to 4.0 GHz. Depending on the model are eight or 16 gigabytes of RAM and SSDs with 256 or 512 gigabytes on board.

In terms of ports the Yoga c930 offers one USB A 3.1 port and two USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports that can be used for charging or delivering power. The device also retains the 3.5 mm headphone jack.  It has Gigabit WLAN with dual-band support and Bluetooth 4.1, a 720p webcam mounted low due to the narrow top bezel and a fingerrpint reader.

The battery offers only 60 watt hours compared to 70 watt hours for the Yoga 920 (which should mean shorter run times unfortnately) and the device weighs 1.38 kg. It is expected to be on sale for 1600 Euro with an even higher-end version with a glass cover also becoming available later.

At first glance the improvements do not seem compelling enough to make me upgrade my fully functional laptop, but I will certainly consider the device if my 910 fails. Have the updates convinced any of our readers to upgrade? Let us know below.
